Photo taken by: Stephanie Steed I have a thing for bold lips! It can add SO much to your outfit and overall style. With a HUGE thanks to NYX cosmetics, I have been able to easily afford this style while making it last! Check out my favorites!
Purple: NYX INTENSE butter gloss in Berry Strudel Natural red: NYX slim lip pencil in Rose Pink: NYX INTENSE butter gloss in Pink Macaroon HOT pink (not pictured): NYX liquid suede in Pink Lust Fave nude pink (not pictured): NYX butter gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie The best way to apply these is to add chapstick first, let that bake, then concealer or foundation, apply lipstick/gloss in a dabbing motion (instead of swiping) and smack lips together haha! Apply translucent powder on top for extra long-wear! Then enjoy bold lips! I have many a times not done all these steps and these NYX lips still seem to last without reapplying-at least until I eat or drink! Works for me!! Enjoy! PS-NYX is almost always on sale at Ulta (buy one get one 50% off) so I don't buy unless there's a sale. I also always use their $3.50 off a $10 purchase every time I shop there. Taking cheap to cheaper:) The winter seriously kills my skin; I have NEVER had eczema before until hubs and I moved to Idaho. I would itch for minutes on end and couldn't help it!! I have been able to control it well though without meds and without any prescription creams-yay!! Below are my tips and tricks for overcoming eczema! PS-I know we are going into spring but since it snowed today in Idaho...I'm still a candidate for following my own tips to avoid the rash...which means you are too (if you live here)! Did you know that about 50% of kids who have eczema will also develop allergies and/or asthma-in addition to the eczema! It is something to look out for and a very real thing. There are tons of things that contribute to eczema flare-ups, including eating foods you are allergic to (especially eggs, wheat, milk, and peanuts), environmental triggers like exposing yourself to mold, dust mites, excessively humid or dry environments, and cat dander, sweating, scratching, skin irritants, and stress. Eczema is just a way of the body trying to get rid of these triggers by stimulating the inflammatory process (which causes itching). Itching comes first, then the rash appears. If you think your child may have eczema, typically if they are under 2 years old, the rash appears more on the face, scalp, and wrist. If they are older than this or you think you have it, the rash could be anywhere...but don't jump to prescription creams and Benadryl. Try these tips first!

Have you seen this? It is brand new to the beauty world, trying to make nail polish more simple. Great concept, but here's why I won't be purchasing.
This video slyly mentions at the end that they will include a FREE base and top coat to go along with the spray on nail polish. Puzzled by this, I did a little research and here's why it's included. Disadvantage: You have to paint on the base coat before spraying on the nail color. This base coat allows the spray on to stick to your nails and not your cuticles or skin. Then after spraying, you have to then reapply the base/top coat 1-2 times (twice for a better finish and gloss) to make sure the color stays put before washing your hands to remove excess color on your skin. To me, this is a lot of work. When I am doing a regular polish (not gel) I only apply the color twice without a base or top coat since I have noticed a better staying power. This is more work than regular nail polish alone with the several coats prior to and after "spray painting;" it's a fabulous idea, but not worth the extra effort (in my opinion). I really was hoping for this to be great as I don't like to do negative reviews but since this video is misguiding, I had to let you know! Benefit: The nice thing about this is that you could get those tricky corners of your nails really well (as long as you applied the base coat well!) so that would make it a little more effortless than nail polish! PS-if this does still appeal to you, go for it! Don't let me stop you!! It would be cool just to try it-like doing arts and crafts on your nails! It will be coming out within the next month-click here (Nails INC, image above) or here (Spray Perfect-already on the market, video above) to check it out!
