21 months: Time has not been on our side as you have grown leaps and bounds over the last year. You have such a strong will to do good and anytime you are doing something questionable you look over to see if it is okay. You are so good at folding your arms and saying AMEN very loudly and so cute, especially when we are in sacrament and it is a little delayed haha. You love to play and absolutely love when we are playing truly with you. Books are still your favorite thing and we probably have way too many but it is just too fun to see how much you love them and learn from them. You started to care what is on your clothes and love anything with animals or cheetah print on them. You even walked up to a stranger in a cafe the other day to show her you have kitties on your shirt. Shasta is still your favorite cat and you have learned to be a lot more gentler with them. You ask for Shasta often and want to know her whereabouts, especially when you wake up in the morning. You are still 1000% a Mama's girl and it makes me so happy. You love Daddy too but are obsessed with me; the feeling is mutual. You love to do anything I am doing and love to try on shoes, put on makeup, open allllll the lip glosses, carry purses, and push your cart around. You get excited when you know we are going to put you in a cart even if you don't last too long. You love to listen to a "show" in the car and can do the motions to wheels on a bus, itsy bitsy spider, Mr. Sun, baby shark, can sing ba ba black sheep, and rock a bye baby. You are learning soooo many words and are just starting to learn colors (you have blue down!) and love to learn. You love your baby and real babies, stuffed animals of all kinds, and a "blanky" to go night night with. I stopped nursing you at 20 months and never thought I would go that long but you continued to want to so we did :) I had to stop at 20 months due to sensitive breasts from pregnancy. So now we sing 2-3 primary songs especially I am a child of God and you go in your crib and lay down to sleep. It is never a fight to put you down but you started to always say you are hungry before bedtime so we oblige so you aren't hungry. Sometimes Daddy thinks you are playing a game with us though. You wake up between 8-9am, nap from 1:30-2 til about 4-4:30 depending on how tired you are (about a 2-2.5 hour nap each day) and then you go to bed between 8:30-9. You still stick your legs out the side of the crib instead of staying parallel with it so we started to turn you so you don't get stuck. You have become a very picky eater and will maybe take 1-2 bites of each thing. It's hard but your favorites are literally anything new or that you haven't had in awhile. Everyone comments how pretty and sweet you are and I have to say you are still pretty dang sweet. Some friends have bit or hit you and you just kind of look at them like why did you do that? You have a very calm spirit but also love to play, especially outside, in a bounce house, or anywhere with friends. Dancing has come so naturally to you and I can't wait to see if you like dance classes. I get worried how you will handle having a baby brother coming soon but something tells me you will love him too. That's been the most helpful for me to think of having another child because I know you will have someone to play with and eventually (hopefully) a lifelong best friend. I was bummed it wasn't a girl so you could have a sister close in age or at all like I never did but I know we are being sent him for a reason. You weigh 28.4 lbs currently and are still very tall for your age as many people think you are older. Your hair started to finally grow and it is a beautiful sandy blonde that looks extra blonde in the sun. You are absolutely my little bestie and it is so fun to do evvvverything together and have so much one on one time. I know I will miss it so bad when we have baby brother too but we will have to start doing mommy daughter and daddy daughter play dates. I love you so so much, even when the tantrums are hard but I have found the best way to get you out of them is to get on your level and ask what's wrong. Sometimes that doesn't work when you are really upset but I can tell you either usually need food, attention, or something out of reason that might not make too much sense. You are still the epitome to me of a perfect child though and it has been an absolute joy to watch you thrive and learn, become social, see your personality shine through and see the things you are interested in. I would do anything in this world for you and hope more than anything that you will be happy and can look back on your childhood and parents fondly. We are trying our absolute very best and continually pray and ask that we are doing just that.
XOXO, Mama
